The purpose of these is to reinforce the driver's visibility and therefore road safety. The studs may not be higher than 13 cm and the reflective faces may not generate an angle greater than 60° with the horizontal.

Los colores tienen diferentes objetivos:

• White: used to reinforce alignments that can be crossed such as the segmented lines within the route and go between the spaces of each segment.

• Red: used to reinforce alignments that cannot be crossed for any reason such as continuous roadway edge lines or continuous single or double axle lines. It is also used to reinforce the continuous side of mixed lines. In edge lines and single axle lines are located between 8 to 24 meters for roads. In mixed and double continuous axle lines, they are located between both lines.

• Yellow: they are used to reinforce alignments that can be crossed with caution, such as shoulders, edges of roadways within urban areas, bull shoulders with crosswalks, etc. Their location depends on convenience and prevention.

• Mixed: they are used to demarcate the mixed continuous line, red side towards the direction of the continuous line traffic and white side vice versa.
